By default, the categories listing is shown with the same template as used for products.
You can choose to show categories as simple URLs. To do it, go to Products > Settings > General Settings and find the Categories Display setting in the Categories Settings section.
You can choose Template or URLs:
- Template – if you choose a template then the listing theme selected for products will be used;
- URLs – the URLs set will generate the simple URLs which can be customized in your theme CSS;
