By default, the Back to Products URL points to the page with all products. With Replace back to products with back to previous URL checkbox, you can change this behavior. This setting will replace the URL with a previously visited URL.
This is useful when you are creating the product catalog with a shortcode. When the user comes to the product page from a shortcode, the Back to Products URL will point to the page where the user comes from.
When you are also using the Next & Previous URLs, the behavior will be different. To avoid pointing the user to the previous product page, it will redirect him to the last product listing page that he saw.
It will also automatically scroll to the clicked product on the product listing when going back to the previous URL.
Usage Examples
- The product catalog has Next & Previous product URLs enabled.
- The user comes to the product page from a category page – the back URL will point to the category page that the user came from
- The user comes to the product page from another product page – the back URL will point the user to that product listing page that he came from
- The product catalog has Next & Previous product URLs disabled.
The back URL will always point to the URL that the user comes from.
